The retainer model offers a flexible and affordable flat-fee contract that provides Project Managers and/or Executive staff with access to technical support and strategic guidance. Pricing is determined based on the anticipated needs of the organization, and retainer agreements can be adjusted to meet changing needs.
Services provided through the retainer model may include:
For Project Managers
General Support: Phone and e-mail availability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Support is geared to help project managers develop their own skills and prepare for productive meetings.
Financing: Model short and long-term financial implications of changes in project budget and funding sources. Provide support for ad hoc technical needs (review a requisition, set up advanced spreadsheet functions, explore ways to close funding gaps).
Business Issues and Contracts: Provide support and guidance in negotiation of favorable business terms in contracts, loan documents and investor agreements. Create memos and other methods to help project managers communicate business terms efficiently to the legal team.
For Senior Level Staff / Executive Leadership
General Support: Phone and e-mail availability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Strategic Advising: Review development projects and/or the overall development pipeline, flag risks and opportunities, prepare master project schedules and cash flow projections.
Integration Between Finance and Real Estate Departments: Create methods to convey information effectively between departments and/or support staff in implementing new or existing tools.
